Here are some examples of imagery associated with written prompts. We worked “on a spectrum,” moving from “feelings” to anatomical explorations of the physical qualities of skin.
“Skin is a bag.” As the largest organ, skin serves as the vessel for both the tangible and intangible parts of being a human.

How can something so strong be so delicate? Translating material conditions into emotional action. Communicating the feeling of vulnerability that comes with such strength and responsibility.
1. Custom scarves printed with images of skin worn as a veil.
2. Gelatin molds used as prisms for viewing skin in new ways.

Intimacy of touch. Profound moments of touch from the perspective of skin. Figures are shadowed in order to call attention to the fact that these incredibly important moments still exist as simple sensory nerve inputs.
