The Nation of Tactile Empathy is a speculation on what our reality could look like if we continue to ignore the increasing prevalence of skin hunger in our everyday lives (the desire for healthy human skin to skin touch). Through the use of an alternative technological narrative and research into touch theory and the phenomena of phantom limbs, The Nation of Tactile Empathy pushes our sensory bias for sight into a world where DIY devices are required in order to reclaim and relocate our lost senses.

Parts of this project were created in partnership with Gregory Beson
